![]() ![]() They both offer tools that make it relatively simple to update AIRAC data of X-Plane, flight planning software (such as PFPX which I personally use) as well as all popular 3rd party aircrafts within X-Plane. You don't have to pay for regular updates, all that matters is to have matching AIRACs in X-Plane / planner / addon aircraft it should be relatively current as otherwise you may run into issues when using current charts from the internet. AIRAC is getting updated every month or so (with current cycle number 1704) and you can buy a single revision or subscribe for regular updates from either navigraph or aerosoft navdata pro. The only solution to that is to make sure that both the flight planner software you use and X-Plane / particular payware aircraft use the same AIRAC revision. They all (flight planners, X-Plane, 3rd party aircrafts) ship own copy of an outdated AIRAC cycle and when they disagree (and they will disagree unless you pay attention to it), you will see these kind of issues. You will hit it with any flight planner, including simbrief as long as AIRAC cycle in the planner is different from that of X-Plane or a 3rd party add-on aircraft (I'm talking about payware aircrafts which have sophisticated navigation systems or FMCs, such as 757, 767, 777 etc.). I think this is not a problem of EFASS, but a mismatch between AIRAC revision used by EFASS and X-Plane. Very much appreciated.I have tried to use EFASS but for X-Plane 11 it doesn't use the right departure or arrival procedures, for example the departure for a flight from KATL to KORD is shown as UGAAA4 but the closest one listed on the FMC is UGAAA6 and the arrival procedure is listed as WYNDE4 while on the FMC you can only find WYNDE8! I also find that EFASS plots turns that are sometimes not possible under flight director autopilot control. ![]() I have searched endlessly for an explanation on exactly how to do this and nothing I've found comes close to the simplicity of your advice. YMMLYSSY01 Big Kangaroo, my grateful thanks. ![]() Watch this video on how to setup the FMC.Įg Melbourne - YMML to Sydney YSSY would have the following 'CO ROUTE' entry. I have also paid for a subscription to Navigraph () that can be linked to Simbrief so that Simbrief can use the latest AIRAC cycle (At time 1907). I use Simbrief () to generate flight plans that can then be opened in SkyVector () to view the route. This video will help explain what SIDs and STARs are and how they relate to Airways. The dep and arrivals is always blank on my fmc when I see tutorials with people who have many options? I pick my prefered route on sim brief so it doesn't give me more options. I don't understand them and what they do. YMMLYSSY01 I've got everything working except the SIDS and STARS.
